Mt. Zao observation platform is an entrance of eastern Atsumi Peninsula where you can enjoy 360 degree-panorama scenes.

A renovation has been done under the theme of “Light”. On the second floor, “Entrance floor”, there is a starry terrace and café. On the third floor, “Experience floor”, you can play with lights. Finally, on the fourth floor, “Observation floor”, you can enjoy a panoramic scene and night view.

Please enjoy the new Mt. Zao observation platform which has become a symbol of renewable energy as well as a center of sightseeing in Tahara.

Lit up night observation deck Illuminations are installed outside of the observation platform. These lights change each season to represent the “Four seasons of Mt. Zao.” The terrace and slope at the entrance of the second floor let the night create a magical vibe.

A symbol of environmental education As a place where you can view Japan’s biggest renewable energy plant district, a number of projects for environmental studies will begin which utilize the natural environment and renewable energy. The facility welcomes field trips and is a base of environmental education in which you can learn and experience Tahara’s program to become an eco-garden city.
