tsumi peninsula field mustard festival (January to March)
You can see the flower fields with yellow field mustards everywhere in Atsumi peninsula. You can enjoy field mustard dishes, watching the flowers and events at the flower fields.

Takigashira cherry blossom festival (early April)
The event held at Takigashira Park surrounded by 3000 cherry trees. The trees are even illuminated.
Tahara kite festival (late May)
The festival began by people having wished for the children’s success in life on the Boy’s Festival. Kite fighting, where kites fight one another by cutting the others’ thread, is a spectacle.
Surfing world competition (late July to August)
The world competition of surfing held at Akabane long beach. You can see the techniques of highest levels.
Triathlon Irago competition (early September)
The competition consists of swimming, biking and running. Just to support neck-and-neck race in the nature of Irago cape is fun!
Tahara festival (mid-September)
It is famous for the gorgeous festival cars with “mechanical dolls” on top. You can also enjoy the night festival cars with children dancing in unison, the fire-spraying tubes and the skyrockets.
